Sydney Beveridge occasionally guest hosts on the internet station EastVillageRadio.com. Before graduate school, she worked for Citizens Union, a nonpartisan watchdog group, where she also contributed to GothamGazette.com.

She holds a B.A. in political science, public policy and English literature from Swarthmore college, where she wrote for the campus newspaper, worked for her college radio station (WSRN) and coordinated activities for the environmental organization, Earthlust.

Her parents named her after a character from a short-lived TV show.
