Channtal Fleischfresser interns for WNBC.com in addition to her studies at the Columbia Journalism School. In the fall of 2007 she reported on Corona, Queens, which is the subject of her blog, Junction Blvd.

Prior to moving to New York in the fall of 2007 , she worked for the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in European history.

She is from São Paulo, Brazil.
