Four New York City women share their impressions of climbing on the rock walls at midtown’s Manhattan Plaza Health Club. The interviewees are Lili Schad, Holly Sumner, Stephanie Keer and Tara Hornung, in that order.
Climbing is also becoming increasingly accessible to young women. At City Climbers Club on West 59th St., local high school science teacher Janna P. Ostroff advises a climbing club for young women from the public Beacon School. The interviewees are, in order of appearance, Julia Kolikoff, Rachel Cockrill and Rebecca and Julienne Hoffman.
