Elizabeth Reyes, 41, Vincent’s sister and a French and Spanish teacher at Montclair High School in New Jersey, described the experience as a “wow” night.

“This is such a treat,” she said. “As a teacher my lifestyle is so not like this, as a VIP with people looking and taking pictures. People normally only want my autograph for permission slips.”

Two hours later, the group moves to another party ground. This time, the venue is Webster Hall in Manhattan's East Village.

More boisterous, the crowd here is an eclectic mix. At the gate, a wrist band is attached on the arm of every patron and a beaded necklace that comes in two colors, gold and purple. Webster Hall boasts a dating club that advertises its members’ profile on a billboard. It also has a striptease show in the center hall. Dancers kiss and fondle one another on the dance floor in the dimly lit hall.

Again, King and Roefaro whisk the entourage past the security directly to the VIP section on the second floor. VIP is stamped on their wrists as they take their seats in this secluded area of the club.

But star treatment doesn’t come cheaply: having a PartyBuddy for a night with extras like a limo, table service and fake paparazzi to snap photos will run a party of four about $2,500.

Clients have ranged in age from 21 to 50, with the majority being around 35 years old, King said. He estimates that about 30 percent of the clients have been from out of town.

While many New Yorkers may balk at spending a couple thousand dollars for a night on the town, Roefaro said they have already lined up events such as birthday and anniversary parties months ahead. They are also working on franchising the company in Miami, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. There are even discussions for a reality TV show based on the company.

“As a teacher my lifestyle is so not like this, as a VIP with people looking and taking pictures," said Elizabeth Reyes, a PartyBuddys client. "People normally only want my autograph for permission slips.”

“Our goal is for a worldwide franchise,” King said. “Anywhere there is a party going on or wherever there is VIP treatment this will definitely work. Celebrity knows no nationality, age or gender. When you’re a celebrity, everything rolls.”

The clubs that PartyBuddys visit – Cielo and Spirit on Fridays and Copacabana and Webster Hall on Saturdays – aren’t especially difficult to get into if one is willing to put in the time. But King said the premise behind PartyBuddys isn’t getting into ultra-chic places, but rather creating a fantasy night out.

“You don’t have to be a celebrity in the true sense of the word, you could just be a hard worker,” King said. “Brad Pitt works three months a year and gets treated like that, but an accountant who works more than 50 hours a week – he earned it, too. Some people think that hiring us is tacky. What is tacky is sitting at home on a Friday night watching people go down the red carpet when you have the money to do it yourself.”
