Art in the Park

So iconic that Woody Allen shot scenes for 12 of his movies there, so beautiful that dozens of our most famous poets have paid tribute to it, Central Park has inspired hundreds – perhaps even thousands – of artists, filmmakers, writers and performers over the years.

Today, it continues not only to inspire artists, but also to provide an ideal setting for them to make art and to perform for enthusiastic audiences.

Kids’ Corner:

Dana Tillyard likes the wolf statue near the Central Park zoo. Why?

“Because I like ballerinas. And I also saw a ballerina once on a wolf and it was really cool.”
