he is not managing Sacred Tattoo, a prominent body art
store in New York City, he is out promoting his trade. An
avid businessman, Jankowski teaches workshops and contracts
out to private and corporate functions at the rate of $1,200
and $2,000 per day.
In
the back of his office he keeps a neatly filed scrapbook of
his work featured in magazines. It includes temporary tattoos
on the actress Winona Ryder and rapper Little Kim.
Jankowski
stared his business as a small parlor above his current studio.
Today, he own 3,000 feet of space and employs six to eight
artists.

"I
do it to do away with ignorance," she says.
"There

body paint and body play. People don't realize that every
culture around the world uses this."
While
reflecting on his last 25 years in the body-art business,
Jankowski is amused how his desire to be different has segued
into a corporate enterprise.
"A
friend once said to me, 'You’d be good for tattooing and it
will be good for you.' And it's great to be accepted for your
talent."
