(pronounced "N-Y-C-two-four") covers some of the people,
places and things that make New York City unique.
Every week, our staff brings you six feature stories that cover a special
theme. We also offer an "Off Stage" piece, about one New
Yorker who works behind the scenes to make at least a small part
of the city tick. NYC24
is produced entirely by the students of the
New Media Workshop
at the Columbia University
Graduate School of Journalism. The 1997
New Media Workshop launched NYC24 as a single issue site that took
a snapshot of New York over a 24-hour period on April 18, 1997.
