D'Agostino
Residence Hall,
New York University
New
York University Law School's D'Agostino
Residence
Hall on West 3rd St. was once the
site of the private stables of American vice
president Aaron Burr (1756-1836.)
After
his death, Burr's ghost was said to have been sighted in and around
the café which was subsequently built on the site of the stables.
The café later burned down. The present residence hall now stands
on the site.
Ron
Telly, a security officer at the campus, knows a little bit about
the building's history.
"I'm
not surprised, there might be stuff," he says. "This is a very old
building, [but] the history is being lost."
Others
laugh at the idea that the residence hall
is or was haunted.
"Oh
my God, I can't believe it!" chuckled Michelle Sage, a student worker.
"It's so funny!"
