Coffee Vendor Celebrates Anniversary with Fish

t was Paul Canade's 15th anniversary February 2, 1999. There were no presents and no congratulations, just more requests for coffee and White Castle burgers.

Fifteen years ago, 18-year-old Canade took over his uncle's food-truck business at the Fulton Fish Market and he hasn't looked back. He caters to hundreds of market workers who move, cut and package fresh fish five mornings a week.

"Mostly they're buying coffee, especially when it's freezing," says Canade on one below-zero morning. "I could feed a small country with the coffee I go through in a week."
